WHAT WE OFFER...
What We Do Best
We are two long term friends who have a vision about The Place to be Me CIC and how it can support and engage young people to develop coping mechanisms, acceptance and build positive behaviours. We both lived experience of the issues as individuals, as parents and in a professional working environment.
We have a range of qualifications that support the programmes we offer and have both academic and holistic therapy backgrounds. We are passionate about making a difference and our aim is to reach far and wide in order for young people to access our service and receive the support they need. We have set the company up to reflect the values we hold personally and collectively.
We are constantly hearing heart wrenching stories from parents and carers as they try to arrange the support their young person needs, which results in being buffered around a system, countless waiting lists and still not receiving the support.
With the increasing pressures for young people from social media, peer and financial pressure, serious youth violence and an uncertain future which have all been made worse by the impact of COVID 19. We recognise that young people with protected characteristics are more likely to be affected adversely by these issues and our support mechanisms mean that no one gets left behind.

I want to thank the The Place to Be Me for everything they’ve done. The part that has helped me the most is speaking to an individual person, in the one on one session. I found that it has helped me so much to speak to someone who I can personally relate to. I’m looking forward for working more with The Place to Be Me.
